The Medina County Board of Commissioners hereby provides notice that it intends to levy a $5 permissive motor vehicle license tax under ORC 4504.02 for the purpose of providing additional general operating revenues for planning, constructing, improving, maintaining, and repairing public roads, highways, and streets; maintaining and repairing bridges. Two public hearings have been scheduled to provide citizens with adequate opportunity to view information and comment on the proposed permissive motor vehicle license tax. The first public hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. and the second public hearing is scheduled for Monday, June 19, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. Both public hearings will be held at the Medina County Administration Building, 144 N. Broadway Street, Room 201 Medina.

Medina County Heavy Duty Vehicle Fleet Maintenance and Repairs

Sealed bids will be received by the Board of County Commissioners, Medina, Ohio, in the office of said Commissioners located in the Medina County Commissioners Hearing Room, 144 N. Broadway, Medina, Ohio until 10:00 AM, Ohio Time, on March 22, 2017. Immediately following bids will be opened as provided by law for "Medina County Heavy Duty Vehicle Fleet Maintenance and Repairs" in accordance with specifications now on file in the Medina County Finance Department, 144 N. Broadway, Medina, for all prospective bidders. Bidders shall note that this contract will be financed in part by Federal assistance awarded by the Federal Transit Administration which will require compliance with Federal guidelines, including but not limited to the rules and regulations on Equal Employment Opportunity and Drug Free Work Places, which shall be made a part of the contract. All bids shall be filed in a sealed envelope marked "Medina County Heavy Duty Vehicle Fleet Maintenance and Repairs" by the time and place specified. Highway Engineers 2017 Consultant Qualifications


In accordance with section 153.71 of the Ohio Revised Code (ORC) notice is hereby given to interested design professionals and professional design firms that the Medina County Engineer is seeking 2017 Statements of Qualifications for providing professional design services for projects that will have a professional design fee of less than $50,000.00.

Statements of Qualification shall at a minimum address ORC section 153.65 (D) (1a), (2) and (3).

The required services may include professional design, surveying, construction management and materials testing services for Medina County Engineer highway, bridge and traffic/safety study projects.

Statements of Qualifications will be received by the Medina County Engineer at 791 W. Smith Road, Medina, Ohio 44256 and must be provided by 4:00 P.M. on March 17, 2017 in order to be considered for services to be rendered from March 2017 to March 2018.

2016 Home Sewage Treatment System Replacement Project


Separate sealed bids for The 2016 Home Sewage Treatment System Replacement Project will be accepted no later than Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 1:30 pm, Ohio time, in the office of the Medina County Sanitary Engineer, 791 W. Smith Road, Medina, Ohio 44256, at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

All bids must be completed on forms provided by the Medina County Health Department and submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked The 2016 Home Sewage Treatment System Replacement Project, at the time and date set forth above.

Specifications, Bidding Forms, and Contract Documents are available at the Medina County Sanitary Engineer’s, 791 W. Smith Road, Medina, Ohio 44256. Specifications, Bidding Forms, and Contract documents may be obtained upon payment of $25.00, none of which will be refunded. (Checks are to be made payable to the Medina County Sanitary Engineers.)

The estimated construction cost for this project is: $300,000.00.

Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty, payable to the Medina County Health Department in an approved form.

Each Proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity.

The Medina County Health Department reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or to increase, decrease or omit any item or items and/or to award to the lowest and best bidder.

The Medina County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Monday December 12, 2016 at 2:00pm, Ohio Time. The meeting will be held at Wadsworth Soprema Center 617 School Drive Wadsworth, Ohio.
